Turkey Leg Hut Hosts 2nd Annual Festival and Block Party Sunday
HOUSTON (KIAH) — A popular restaurant in Houston’s Third Ward is hosting a family-friendly block party on Sunday.
It is Turkey Leg Hut’s annual festival and block party. He’s back after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The owners hope to bring families together for good food, music and fun.
This will be the second annual one-day event. It started in 2019 and drew a crowd of over 6,000 people. There will be crawfish boils, Turkey Leg Hut’s world-famous stuffed turkey thighs, food trucks, drinks, kids’ activities and a hundred vendor stalls to explore on Almeda Street.
In addition to the excitement, several artists will perform. Inayah, singer, songwriter and social media star from Houston. Along with Brian Jack and the Zydeco bands will take over the main stage.
In addition to the fun, medical staff will be on hand to provide jobs and the Vanguardia Society will be there, as well as youth services for foster children.
