Submitted by Rosario Resort & Spa.
Christmas trees return to light up the Moran Mansion at Rosario Resort & Spa during the month of December, decorated by six local nonprofits. Sponsored by the resort, the Festival of Trees is designed to be a fundraiser this holiday season for participating nonprofits, including The Funhouse Commons, Orcas Island Rotary, Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Orcas Animal Protection Society , A OK (Arts for Children) and the Orcas Island Historical Museum.
The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite tree by purchasing a vote for $1 per ticket throughout the month of December. Each organization will receive the voting dollars, with all organizations also receiving additional cash donations from Rosario Resort. All voter tickets will also be entered into a raffle to win prizes, including two round-trip tickets from Orcas Island to Seattle on Kenmore Air, dinner for two at The Mansion restaurant and a pass for two. months for the Rosario spa.
“Although we missed last year due to the pandemic, we are thrilled to host the 11th Annual Tree Festival in Rosario,” said Resort General Manager Christopher Peacock. “We are deeply grateful to these local organizations and also for the contributions of island visitors and the community to these organizations over the holiday season.”
Moran Manor is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Rosario reception before visiting the tree exhibition.
