The village of Lynwood hosts the annual festival

Jada D. Curry – President of the Village of Lynwood, Illinois – will be joined by hundreds of residents, regional and local elected officials and business leaders to participate in one of South County’s most anticipated summer events. Cook, “The Lynwood Fest.”

The Summer Music Festival is a late summer highlight for students and area residents. Lynwood Fest is a live experience that has become a highlight for the whole family! The Adopted Family Tradition Festival is an event that provides fun, safe and memorable camaraderie with neighbors.

“The Lynwood Fest is one of the biggest annual events that our residents look forward to. It has become one of the most sought after festivals in Southland that we love to plan and prepare for,” Mayor Jada Curry said.

The festival will take place on Saturday, August 13 from 3-11 p.m. at Liberty Memorial Community Park, located at 3107 Glenwood Dyer Road. The festival will feature more than 15 vendors, food trucks, fireworks and a special tribute to Michael Jackson by dance superstar “Rico.”

The stage lineup will debut with tons of local talent like Neal Alger Trio and line dancing with “Dancing Deeva.” Dj Freddy B and DJ “The Kameleon” are preparing to offer residents the best hits throughout the day!

One of the highlights of this year’s festival will be a presentation of scholarships to the many college-bound students who have excelled in their academic performance.

The Village of Lynwood encourages everyone to join them for an evening of laughs, endless dancing, phenomenal live music, and a chance to spend some quality time with loved ones at the end of summer.

Mayor Curry continued, “I love the Lynwood Festival. This is one of the biggest highlights of my year,” said Mayor Jada Curry.
