Festa Italiana returns to Syracuse for the 23rd annual festival
After a year of cancellations from one of the biggest festivals in downtown Syracuse, Italian party made a comeback to downtown this weekend.
The 23rd the annual event will start on Friday September 17the, and works all weekend. Over 20 musical acts and an assortment of food vendors will be available to sample. The festival’s annual pétanque tournament also returns on Saturday at 9 a.m. and Italian bingo will also be part of the event from 12:30 p.m.
The land adjacent to the KeyBank building on Montgomery and East Washington streets will be closed until Monday morning … And parts of Montgomery and East Washington Street in front of City Hall will also be closed. The festival will take place from Friday to Sunday.
president of Italian party, Ginnie Lostumbo says it’s important to keep the festival going because “It’s our culture and our history and you can see someone you know; he has a feeling of family.
