Fantastic Weather Boosts 36th Annual Wendover Western Optimist Festival

The beautiful weather made for a fantastic five days at the Wendover Optimist Western Festival.

36e The annual festival wrapped up Sunday night at 4 p.m. with a closing performance by Canadian country music artist Rheal Leblanc of Bouctouche, New Brunswick. The four-day festival welcomed patrons from Prescott-Russell, Clarence-Rockland and even country music fans from as far away as Ottawa and Montreal to enjoy several artists. The festival has grown in popularity as the event entertained large gatherings of people every day.

“The weather was fantastic and the music was great,” said Liette Hotte, president of the Wendover Western Optimist Festival.

Hotte highlighted three acts that marked her.

“The Rats of Swomp, Syldan and Coco Country Band,” Hotte said, of his favorite performances over the four days of music.
