Ball Park Music, Ruel and more to play for free at the Gold Coast Festival in Spring
Ball Park Music, Ruel and an assortment of other Australian artists have all been enlisted to play the first edition of Gold Coast’s free festival, Springtime.
Located on multiple stages within the grounds of Surfers Paradise, the Springtime Festival will take place over three days, from September 3-5.
Other acts playing include Hermitude, MAY-A, Sycco, JK-47, Ninajirachi, Sneaky Sound System, Budjerah, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and more.
Spring confirmed NME that every act appearing on today’s lineup announcement will perform on the festival’s free outdoor stages.
The Saturday evening of the event (September 4) will also host the 2021 Gold Coast Music Awards. Entries are still open and can be made through the official GCMA website until Sunday, June 20.
According to the official event website, Springtime was made possible with help from the Australian government’s Recovery for Regional Tourism program, a $ 1 billion COVID-19 Relief and Recovery Fund initiative. The festival was able to receive this funding through Destination Gold Coast.
Spring week is set to be huge for the Queensland music scene, with the annual BIGSOUND taking place in Brisbane on September 7th.
