41st Annual Light Craft Festival to Support Shelter Animals

THOMASTON – “As the days get shorter and cooler, we know fall is here, and inevitably winter will follow,” the Pope Memorial Humane Society said in a press release. “Even if it means cold and snow, it also means vacation! “

Start the season with the annual Festival of Lights craft show hosted by the Pope Memorial Humane Society. Two thousand and twenty-one marks the 41st year of this Maine Midcoast tradition.

On Saturday, November 27, the show takes place at Rockland Elks Lodge (210 Rankin St in Rockland) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is $ 2 and children under 12 are free. The kitchen at Elks Lodge will be open and serve lunch upon purchase.

More than 40 artists from across the state of Maine will be showcasing one-of-a-kind products such as ornaments, jewelry, pottery, candles, clothing, vacation-themed items and more. In addition, there will be a silent auction, a bake sale and the option to purchase the cookbook. Recipes to the rescue, a collection of community recipes from the Pope Memorial Humane Society.

“You’ll be sure to find something for everyone on your list and feel great about supporting local homeless animals this holiday season,” Pope said.

Proceeds from the Festival of Lights craft show will go towards food, medicine, care and shelter for homeless animals in the care of the Pope Memorial Humane Society. For more information, email [email protected]
