2022 Summer Music Festival Guide!

SXSW and Coachella have given us a taste of what to expect for the upcoming summer music festival season, and we’ve compiled the ultimate guide to summer music festivals 2022 from an ocean for you. to the other. 1. Governors Ball (June 10-12; New York, NY)

The first entry on our list is the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York. Halseywho will be making a return to the festival since performing as a line-up in 2019, coinciding with her Love and Power Tour. We are also excited to see performances from; black pumas, migos, Jasmine Sullivan, glass animals, and more. The co-headliners will be J. Cole and Kid Cudiwho should release 2 new albums this year.

2. Rock the Bells (August 6; Queens, NY)

Smack dab in the middle of summer is LL cool J‘s Rock The Bells Festival, highlighting Hip-Hop and classic Hip-Hop music, all hosted by the singer/actor himself. His love letter to hip-hop will leave fans thinking back to when the genre was in its infancy and served as a vessel to empower disadvantaged communities. Additionally, the all-day music festival will feature selected food vendors, interactive experiences, as well as art exhibits. Scheduled to perform with LL for the inaugural event is Ice Cube, Jadakis, Lil Kim, NOREand Rick Ross, just to name a few. Hip-hop fans old and new, check out this festival.

3. Electric Zoo (September 4-6; New York, NY)

The West Coast has EDC while New York has EZoo! Towards the end of summer (i.e. Labor Day weekend), New York’s premier electronic music festival, Electric Zoo, takes place. The electronic festival is so huge that there are international editions in Mexico City, Tokyo, Shanghai and Sao Paulo. The theme of the festival this year is “3.0”, highlighting the advancement of technology and our digital consciousness. 4. Palomino Festival (July 9; Pasadena, CA)

Summer will be in full swing as the Palomino Festival takes the stage at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles. Making its debut, the one-day event will bring together Country and Country-Pop enthusiasts of all kinds. The headliner is our daughter Kacey Musgraves, who wowed us with his summer 2021 hit “Justified.” The range also includes Willie Nelson and his family, Jason Isbeland the 400 Unit. The festival is a mix of how country music has evolved over the years and is still a major player in the music world.

5. Hard Summer 2022 (July 29-31; San Bernardino, CA)

From the hills of Los Angeles to the plains of the Inland Empire, the annual Hard Summer EDM and Hip-Hop music festival will play out at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino, CA. The festival program includes Lil Uzi Vert, Porter Robinson, Zed is deadand Subtronicswhile the queen of the summer music festival herself, Megan you stallion, must also occur. The “Hot Girl Summer” artist has been busy headlining and performing at various festivals this year. This year’s lineup was so huge that festival officials had to add another day. Pack your sunscreen, sunglasses and plenty of water to enjoy a whole weekend of fun and music.

6. Outsidelands (August 5-7; San Francisco, CA)

Los Angeles may be the one with some amazing music events for you to attend this summer. However, NorCal music lovers enjoy their music as much as Angelenos do, making the Outsidelands the Bay Area’s premier summer music festival destination. green day, Post Maloneand SZA will headline this year’s festival with Jack Harlow, Weezer, Pusha Tand even Kim Petras, as well as many others. We’re thrilled to see Green Day back on stage, taking us back to their hits that helped define alternative music in the 90s and 2000s.

7. Electric Daisy Carnival (May 20-22; Las Vegas, NV)

It won’t officially be summer for 4 weeks after EDC arrives, but that doesn’t stop us from getting a head start on music festival season. Anyone into EDM music will be there with over 200 artists scheduled to perform. The festival will have up to eight stages for a unique sound identity. Headliners include Eric Pridz, Zeddand Grimesas well as performance of Kinetic field, Circuit grounding, Cosmic Medow, bass podand bionicJungle. The weekend’s event will take place at the Las Vegas Moto Speedway.

8. So what? (May 27-29; Dallas, TX)

Metal, rock, rap, hip-hop and alternative merge during this 3-day music event for Lonestar State residents for So What? Music Festival at Choctaw Stadium. Returning after a 5-year hiatus, over 100 acts to choose from will be offered across 3 different stages. This experience is like going to 3 different festivals in one! Sum 41, Single plan, Black bearand 3Oh!3 headliner of the Pop/Punk scene. Metal/rock fans will expect I prevail, The ghost insideand Under oath to headline their respective scene. Rae Sremmurd, Juicy Jand 2 chains will be the headliner of the Rap/Hip-Hop scene.

9. Float Fest 2022 (July 23-24; Gonzales, TX)

Alright, so our next Texas music festival on the list is total vibes! Imagine not only enjoying your favorite artists on stage, but can you believe floating on an inner tube along a lazy river or camping overnight in the same area? Float Fest 2022 will return to South Texas after a 4-year hiatus. The festival will be held at the site where Texas gained independence from Mexico during the Battle of Gonzalez. A few miles from the Guadalupe River winds its way near the venue, where spectators can have the chance to float down the river to arrive at the festival site. The 2-day festival has a spectacular line-up with vampire weekend, deadmau5, luck the rapper, Tove Lo, elephant cageand Marshmallow and more headliners.

10. Lollapalooza (July 29-August 31; Chicago, IL)

The Midwestern entry on the list is the mainstay of Chicago’s summer music festival, Lollapalooza. Currently in its historic 3rd decade and the group’s oldest entry, this festival has seen the likes of Outkast, The Lupe Fiasco, Miley Cyrus, and more. This year’s festival will take place in Grant Park with Doua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, J. Cole. Metallic, foo fighters, Tyler the Creatorand Post Malone scheduled to occur.

11. Hangout Music Fest (May 20-22; Gulf Shores, AL)

The last pick on our list is Hangout Music Fest. The Southern entry into the music festival scene has an impressive roster of artists this year, including Fall out Boy, T-Pain, Doja Cat, Halsey, Jack Harlowand more descend on the beaches of Gulf Shores, AL.
